Award-winning organist and pianist Roderick Demmings Jr. gave his Carnegie Hall debut in 2006, performing as a solo pianist on the nationally televised “From the Top: Live from Carnegie Hall” on PBS. Since that time, he has performed in prestigious venues on both sides of the Atlantic. Most recently, he appeared at the Vatican, performing as organist with the Vatican Choir. In February of 2014, he participated in the Kennedy Center’s Organ Showcase. Roderick received his primary musical tutelage from piano pedagogue John Tatum and organist Annette Albrecht.

Mr. Demmings has been coached by numerous legendary organists, among them, Daniel Roth, Marie Louise Langlais, Peter Conte, Alan Morrison, and Thomas Bara. He has recently completed an undergraduate degree studying with master organist Donald Sutherland at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, where he was the recipient of the Rose and Leon J. Neiburger scholarship.
