Ensemble VIII: Concerto Rarities

The “King of Instruments” takes center stage in this free concert as Timothy Howard and Jeffrey Schindler play PPC’s magnificent Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ and conduct a program of organ concertos by Samuel Barber, Francis Poulenc, William Herschel & Josef Rheinberger. This program is presented in association with the Los Angeles Chapter, American Guild of Organists.

“Ensemble” is a series of Friends of Music programs featuring PPC’s pipe organ with other performing forces. Prior programs have featured works for organ and orchestra, organ and vocalists, organ with instrumental and vocal soloists, including significant world and regional premieres.

A reception follows the performance.
